Bixbus Welcome Centre

The Bixbus Welcome Centre, established in 2021 by Sergio Aveskamp and Lisa Kendrick-Smith, serves as the primary support hub for settlers transitioning to life in Bixbus, Clivilius. What began as a modest operation in a repurposed warehouse has grown into one of the settlement's most essential institutions, providing housing assistance, employment placement, cultural orientation, and social support to thousands of newcomers each year. The Centre's particular strength lies in its refugee resettlement programme, which assists displaced persons from failed settlements across Clivilius. By 2023, the Centre had relocated to permanent facilities within Unity Plaza's South Commercial Wing, cementing its position at the heart of Bixbus's civic infrastructure. Working in close partnership with the Bixbus Event Collective, Bixbus Housing Authority, and Bixbus Civic Welfare, the Welcome Centre ensures that arrival in Bixbus marks not the end of a journey but the beginning of belonging.

Black Hallows Archive

The Black Hallows Archive is the central repository of scientific, historical, and administrative records maintained within the cliff complex at Black Hallows. Its collection spans the settlement's entire history from 1862 and includes material inherited from Grenzfeld dating to the late sixteenth century. The Archive's holdings include Dr. Emiliana Greyson's 347 observation journals, Helena Black's laboratory notebooks, and over 160 years of breeding records, research data, and institutional correspondence. Dr. Tobias Black's founding manuscript A Catalogue of Necessity was relocated to the Clivilius National Library in Bixbus in early 2025, the first and most contested in a series of proposed transfers that remained a source of friction between the two settlements.

John Dynon Gallery, Silverton

The John Dynon Gallery stands as both testament to artistic vision and witness to unspeakable tragedy—a contemporary art space carved from the harsh Australian outback that has served alternately as cultural beacon and crime scene across its quarter-century existence. Located at 17 Loftus Street in Silverton, this gallery and its distinctive outdoor sculpture garden have transformed from one man's dream of showcasing Australian creativity into a space forever marked by the deliberate positioning of murder victims amongst its carefully curated artworks.

Museum of Old and New Art (MONA)

The Museum of Old and New Art opened in January 2011 on the banks of the Derwent River at Berriedale, twelve kilometres north of Hobart. Founded by professional gambler and art collector David Walsh, the subterranean gallery houses a provocative collection spanning ancient Egyptian artefacts to confrontational contemporary installations. MONA has transformed Tasmania's cultural identity whilst becoming a venue for significant civic events, including the annual charity gala that has raised millions for local causes.
