One Miracle Short
Jamie Greyson was shoved through a Portal into a dimension that shouldn't exist, by a partner he no longer trusts. In the dust and desperation of Clivilius, the son he'd only just begun to know arrives with a slit throat and no heartbeat. The lagoon brings Joel back. But when Jamie begs for a second miracle, Clivilius answers with silence. Some debts, it seems, are only paid once.

Jamie Greyson didn't choose Clivilius. Luke made that decision for him—shoved him through a Portal and called it love. Now Jamie is stranded in a hostile dimension of red dust and impossible rules, watching his relationship collapse while struggling to survive alongside strangers he didn't ask to meet.
Then Joel arrives—the son Jamie discovered existed only months ago but had never met. Throat slit, blood drained, impossibly still breathing. Their first encounter shouldn't be possible, and neither should what follows: Clivilius can raise the dead.
The lagoon gives Joel back. Heals the wound. Restarts the heart. It's a miracle Jamie witnesses with his own hands, his own tears, his own desperate gratitude. A chance to build the relationship he'd never had.
But miracles in Clivilius come with terms no one explains. When darkness descends on the camp and Jamie loses something precious, he returns to the water expecting the same mercy twice. The water refuses.
Now grief has a new shape—cold, sharp, demanding answers Clivilius won't provide. And when Joel vanishes into the wilderness, Jamie faces a choice that will cost him everything he has left to lose.
One miracle saved his son. One miracle short destroyed what remained of his heart.
