The Chief of Belkeep was the settlement's civilian leader, an office created in 1990 after three years of improvised rule proved fatal. Appointed for life and supported by an elected Council of Stewards, the Chief governed Belkeep's daily survival while the Guardians kept its Portal. Four men held or prefigured the role across four decades; the last, Lewyyd Drikarsus, died in office in 2021, and the title outlived the settlement it served.
The senior office of the Clivilius Lead Council's Secretariat charged with intelligence, strategic planning, and security assessment, established on 29 January 2019 and first held by Eddie Jonathan Hobson. Alone among the Secretariat's offices it was defined by prohibition: the Director could demand any record that existed but could task no collector, and was forbidden to recommend any course of action arising from the Department's own work. Its whole authority rested on being believed.
Guardians are individuals chosen to establish and maintain settlements between Earth and Clivilius. Each receives a Portal Key that binds to their DNA through blood, enabling inter-dimensional travel. Operating in groups of five called Guardian Atum Ra-Ling, they transform barren Clivilian landscapes into thriving communities whilst preserving Earth's knowledge and resources. Working in secrecy, they navigate the profound challenges of dual-world existence, with many settlements failing before achieving sustainability.
An ancient Clivilian interpretive role, historically entrusted with reflecting upon and recording the Guiding Principles through narrative and ethical commentary. First established in the early Guardian Order, the ZĒN-TU tradition faded into obscurity for centuries before being revived in 2025 with the formation of the ZĒN-TU Circle.
