The Survivor's Account
Five weeks after the Berriedale tragedy, Benny Salter breaks his silence. What he describes doesn't match any animal on record. Black eyes like looking into nothing. Movement that was wrong. And a creature that flinched from light like it caused physical pain.
Benny Salter didn't want to talk. He spent three weeks in hospital, two of them refusing all interview requests. But something about what he saw wouldn't let him stay silent. In his first and only interview about the night of 2 August, Salter describes an encounter that defies the official "exotic animal" explanation. The creature he saw moved wrong. Its eyes were completely black. And when the lights came on, it recoiled like the brightness was agony. Salter can't explain why he was in the house that night — some details, he says, aren't his to share. But he can describe what attacked him. And he wants it on record, even if no one believes him.
