Shadows That Hunt
They move in packs. They hunt in darkness. They don't kill for food—they kill because the kill itself is the point. Clivilius has many dangers, but few inspire the same primal terror. The shadow panthers have been hunting these lands longer than anyone can remember.

Shadow panthers are apex predators native to Clivilius. They hunt in packs of four to five, surrounding prey in coordinated silence before striking from multiple angles. Their dark fur absorbs light rather than reflecting it, making them nearly invisible in low visibility conditions. They are strongest at night.
What makes them particularly dangerous is their apparent intelligence. They adapt. They learn territory. They remember.
Chewbathian hunters have tracked shadow panther packs for generations, studying their behaviour, mapping their movements, culling those that venture too close to settlements. The hunters know what most settlers learn too late: shadow panthers don't hunt because they're hungry.
They hunt because they're shadow panthers.
