Proclamation du Jour 210, Année 4338
The formal proclamation issued by the Council of Luminarths on Day 210, Year 4338, announcing the return of Escuadra Montero and the deaths of three Éclaireurs in the foothills outside Xylora. Read aloud by the Hérauts at designated announcement points throughout the city, this decree names the fallen—Théo Michel Laval, Julien Pierre Mercier, and Antoine François Vidal—and declares three days of dimmed light in their honour. It also announces the capture of two prisoners: a confirmed Pirata who killed the three Éclaireurs and carried stolen Lumineux, and an unknown companion of uncertain status who could not walk and offered no resistance. Both are held at the Quartier de détention pending Council judgement. The proclamation exists in two versions: the ceremonial La Langue Xylorane for citizens, and La Langue des Marchands (English) for foreign traders present in the city.

Opening: Citizens of Xylora. Hear now the words of the Council of Luminarths, carried to you by the voice of the Héraut. Let all cease their labours. Let all attend.
The Return:On this day, the two hundred and tenth of the year 4338, the patrol designated Escuadra Montero has returned through the mountain gates. Capitaine Henri Louis Duval commanding. Twelve departed. Nine return whole. Two return wounded. Three do not return at all.
The Fallen: Let the names of the fallen be spoken aloud, that they may echo through the stone and be remembered:
Théo Michel Laval. Twenty-three years. Son of the Laval family of the Quartier Beaumont. Éclaireur for four years. He died defending our territory.
Julien Pierre Mercier. Twenty-six years. Son of the Mercier family of the Quartier Beaumont. Éclaireur for six years. He died defending our territory.
Antoine François Vidal. Twenty-four years. Son of the Vidal family of the Quartier Beaumont. Éclaireur for five years. He died defending our territory.
Mourning Declaration: The Council of Luminarths declares three days of dimmed light in honour of the fallen. Let the cultivation pools reduce their glow from dusk until dawn. Let music cease in public spaces. Let the families of the fallen receive the comfort of their neighbours.
The Prisoners: Two prisoners have been taken and are now secured at the Quartier de détention.
The first is confirmed as a Pirata. He killed three of our Éclaireurs before he was subdued. He carried stolen Lumineux on his person—our light, taken from our pools, traded like common currency by those who do not understand what they steal. He will face the judgement of the Council.
The second is of unknown status. He claims to be Earth-born, recently arrived, taken hostage by the Pirata. He could not walk and offered no resistance. His claims will be investigated. Until the Council rules otherwise, he is held as an associate of the Pirata.
Call for Order: Citizens are reminded that justice belongs to the Council. The prisoners are not to be approached, threatened, or harmed. Those who violate this order will themselves face judgement.
The fallen will be honoured at the Caveau des Ancêtres when the mourning period concludes. Families may arrange private viewings through the office of the Gardien des Morts.
Closing: These are the words of the Council of Luminarths. Let them be heard. Let them be remembered. Let the stone carry them to every ear.

Le Retour: En ce jour, le deux cent dixième de l'année 4338, la patrouille désignée Escuadra Montero est retournée par les portes de la montagne. Capitaine Henri Louis Duval au commandement. Doce partieron. Nueve retournent entiers. Dos retournent blessés. Tres ne retournent pas du tout.

Que la música cese dans les espacios públicos. Que les familias de los caídos reçoivent le confort de sus vecinos.
Los Prisioneros: Dos prisioneros ont été capturés et sont maintenant asegurados au Quartier de détention.
Le premier est confirmé como Pirata. Il a matado tres de nos Éclaireurs avant d'être soumis. Il portait des Lumineux volés sur sa persona—nuestra luz, tomada de nos bassins, échangée comme moneda común par ceux qui ne comprennent pas ce qu'ils vuelan. Il fera face au jugement del Conseil.
Le second est de status inconnu. Il prétend être né sur Tierra, arrivé récemment, pris en otage par le Pirata. Il ne pouvait pas caminar et n'a offert aucune résistance. Ses claims seront investigués. Jusqu'à ce que le Conseil décide autrement, il est détenu como asociado del Pirata.
Appel à l'Ordre: Les ciudadanos sont rappelés que la justicia appartient au Conseil. Les prisioneros ne doivent pas être approchés, menacés, ni dañados. Ceux qui violent cet orden feront eux-mêmes face au jugement.
